Anybody can edit any page and every page has a discussion page associated with it.
Every 'registered' user has a personal page and an associated discussion page (see 'my talk' at the top of the page).
Additionally, every user has a personal watchlist (see 'my watchlist' at the top of the page).  You are notified when pages on your watchlist are modified.
All revisions are tracked using a Concurrent Versions System (CVS) so we can always backtrack.
